Dr. Madeline McGee
Veterinarian
Dr. McGee was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. She has always had a love for animals of all shapes and sizes and turned her passion into a career. Dr. McGee attended Louisiana Tech University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in animal science. She graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. During veterinary school, she was very involved with the local animal shelter, where she cultivated a passion for surgery as well as animal rescue, community education and animal welfare. Dr. McGee has special interests in further training in feline medicine and dentistry.
After graduation, Dr. McGee joined the Athens community with her significant other, who is also a veterinarian! Together they have four dogs, Zeus, Reba, Marty and Eugene, and two cats, Nova and Pogo. She enjoys exploring Athens and visiting local pet-friendly businesses in her spare time. She loves spending time with her family and traveling as much as possible! Dr. McGee is very excited to join our veterinary team and meet your pets!
